Italian-style Green Beans

Ingredients:

+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 cup chopped onion+ Add to Shopping List
2 teaspoons minced garlic+ Add to Shopping List
1 teaspoon dried oregano+ Add to Shopping List
1/2 teaspoon dried basil+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 teaspoon salt+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 teaspoon pepper+ Add to Shopping List
1 tablespoon olive oil+ Add to Shopping List
2 cups chopped fresh tomatoes+ Add to Shopping List

Directions:

  1. Place green beans in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Cook uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender then drain water.
  2. In a large skillet, saute the onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt if desired and pepper in oil until onion is tender. Add beans and tomatoes; heat through.
